The College of Agricultural Sciences invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Program Coordinator position within the Oregon Wine Research Institute (OWRI). Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences.

The Oregon Wine Research Institute (OWRI) is housed in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University with a mission to address the needs of the Oregon wine industry through collaborative research and outreach.

This individual is expected to perform a variety of duties within the OWRI to coordinate the central program across faculty members, administrators, and industry-constituent boards with focus on three main areas:

  1. Program Administration
  2. Coordination and Communication
  3. Outreach

The successful candidate will work closely with the core faculty of the OWRI, the affiliated unit leaders, and the Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture Sciences.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Required qualifications include a MS degree in Horticulture, Plant Sciences, Food Science, or other agricultural science-related field or a BS with a minimum of 2 years of research experience; or BS with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional project or program management/coordination; or appropriate combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications include work experience in a college, university, and/or research based setting, an MS degree in Horticulture, Plant Sciences, Food Science, or other agricultural science-related field and experience in scientific research. The demonstrable ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and make critical decisions and the ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively both independently and cooperatively, and a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
