Highland Community College is seeking a Vineyard Manager / Viticulture Instructor in Wamego, Kansas. HCC is the only college in Kansas engaged in viticulture and enology.

The College has a licensed, bonded winery on campus and recently accepted an NSF-ATE Small Grant to expand the vineyard to 7 acres in spring 2014.  HCC is the Kansas member of VESTA (www.vesta-usa.org).  For more information about the program visit www.highlandcc.edu/pages/grapes

The successful candidate will manage College vineyards, teach a partial load of undergraduate courses, assist with curriculum development, and participate in industry support activities. Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree or higher in viticulture, horticulture, or enology preferred. Experience working in a vineyard is essential. Experience with hybrid grape varieties and mechanized vineyard operations preferred. Computer literacy required. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
